Natascha Sadr Haghighian’s video shows dancer, choreographer and former microbiologist Xavier Le Roy in conversation with ostheopath Martina Zeidler. They talk about their different practices and their understandings of the body. Both deal with very subtle processes in their work that often evade attempts to put them in concrete terms. In acknowledging these processes, their practices form methods and languages outside the traditions of the Enlightenment. In the conversation, they address and discuss knowledge that is produced by the body itself and how this informs their practice, knowledge formations that derive from and constitute the interactions between therapist and client or between performer and audience, and the processes by which knowledge forms, acts out and manifests itself in the body.
